CVE-2020-3280Network attack vector

Unauthenticated root code execution via Java deserialization

Published May 22, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024

Insecure deserialization in Cisco Unified Contact Center Express before 12.0(1)ES03 allows remote attackers to execute code as root. The Java Remote Management Interface deserializes a malicious Java object received by a specific listener without validating it. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation gives the attacker root-level control of the affected device.
