Authenticated root command execution via unsanitized script input
Published Jun 18, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Command injection in Cisco RV130W firmware 1.0.3.54 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands as root. The web-based management interface passes improperly validated request input to its scripts, which execute injected operating-system commands. Administrative credentials are required; exposure is limited to the local LAN unless remote management, which is disabled by default, is enabled.
