Arbitrary file read via unvalidated context array
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Directory traversal in Cisco UCS Director through 6.7.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary system files. The CIMCDownloadDiagnosticsReport class passes an unvalidated user-supplied context array to file operations in its doFormSubmit handler. A valid REST API session is required, and successful exploitation exposes appliance-readable files, including stored credentials, without providing file-write access.
