Authenticated code execution via MyCallable path traversal
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Directory traversal in Cisco UCS Director before 6.7.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through its REST API. The MyCallable class uses a user-supplied path in file operations without proper validation, allowing traversal outside the intended location. A low-privileged REST API credential is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code as the tomcatu account.
