Root command execution via unvalidated VDS CLI arguments

Command injection in Cisco IOS on 809 and 829 Industrial ISRs and CGR1000 devices allows local users to execute VDS root shell commands. The affected CLI parsers pass insufficiently validated arguments from specific VDS-related commands into the VDS Linux shell. Access requires valid privilege level 15 credentials; successful exploitation runs commands as root and can compromise the IOS, Guest OS, and VDS virtual machines.
