IPsec traffic interruption via packet-memory exhaustion

Resource exhaustion in Cisco IOS XR Software before 6.4.3, 6.6.3, 7.0.2, or 7.1.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt IPsec traffic. The IPsec packet processor punts malicious ICMP error messages without bounding packet-memory consumption, allowing repeated messages to exhaust its memory pool. The ipsec_mp or ipsec_pp process must be running, as it is by default; the resulting depletion drops all subsequent IPsec packets until manual intervention.
