Resource exhaustion in Cisco NX-OS Software on affected MDS 9000 switches allows remote attackers to reboot devices via mgmt0 traffic. The resource handling system fails to control resource usage when the management interface receives traffic at very high rates. No authentication or user interaction is required; sustained management-plane traffic can drive high CPU use, crash processes, or reboot the switch.
