CVE-2020-3173

Authenticated command injection via crafted CLI arguments

Published Feb 26, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024

OS command injection in Cisco UCS Manager Software allows local users to execute arbitrary commands through the local-mgmt CLI. The CLI insufficiently validates crafted arguments to specific commands before passing them for execution by the underlying operating system. An authenticated local session is required; commands run with the logged-in user's privileges, except on UCS 6400 Series Fabric Interconnects, where they run as root.
