Domain spoofing via installation-prompt state confusion
Published Apr 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
A logic flaw in the App Store on Apple iOS and iPadOS before 14.3 allows attackers to make an enterprise app prompt display the wrong domain. The installation prompt associates the displayed domain with the wrong state, but Apple has not published further implementation detail. A user must initiate enterprise application installation and rely on the misleading prompt; the documented impact is limited to incorrect domain attribution.
