Unauthenticated file read via incorrect path check
Published Feb 18, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Path access control bypass in Atlassian Confluence Server and Data Center allows remote attackers to read protected deployment files. ConfluenceResourceDownloadRewriteRule applies an incorrect path access check to crafted resource-download paths, permitting reads beneath WEB-INF and META-INF. Exposure requires network access but no authentication and affects versions before 6.13.18, 6.14.0 through 7.4.5, or 7.5.0 through 7.8.2.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
