Authenticated server hang or repeatable crash
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cause a hang or repeatable crash. Oracle identifies the affected component only as Server: PS and has not published the operation on untrusted input that triggers the failure. Exploitation requires a highly privileged account with network access through a MySQL protocol, and the bounded consequence is interruption of the database service.
