Low-privilege modification of critical data
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Integrity compromise in Oracle VM VirtualBox before 6.0.20 and 6.1.6 allows local users to create, delete, or modify critical data. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as the Core component and has not published the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires a low-privilege infrastructure logon and can alter critical data accessible to VirtualBox or significantly affect additional products.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
