Directory traversal in Sphinx Technologies Sphinx through 3.1.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through its SQL interface. CALL SNIPPETS passes attacker-supplied full pathnames to load_file without restricting file access to an allowed directory. Exploitation requires network access to the unauthenticated SQL service and exposes files readable by the Sphinx process.
