Session-context JavaScript execution via crafted URL
Published Feb 16, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
DOM-based cross-site scripting in Secomea SiteManager Embedded before 9.3 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via crafted URLs. Secomea has not disclosed which Web UI handler copies URL-controlled data into the DOM or what sanitization operation is missing. Exploitation requires another application user to visit the URL, after which the script runs in that user's session and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
