User information disclosure via unexpired admin sessions
Published Sep 8, 2021 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in Fortinet FortiSandbox 3.2.1 and earlier allows attackers to disclose configured user information. The appliance leaves administrator session identifiers valid beyond their intended lifetime, so a captured identifier continues to authorize requests. Exploitation requires prior acquisition of an administrator session identifier through a separate attack and exposes information about other configured users.
