Authenticated server hang or repeatable crash
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Denial of service in the Oracle MySQL Server optimizer 8.0.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash the server. Oracle has not published the optimizer operation or crafted input that triggers the failure. A high-privileged MySQL account with network access over a supported protocol is required, and the documented consequence is limited to loss of availability.
