Stored XSS via address-state sanitization bypass
Published Oct 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the Sales module of SugarCRM 6.5.18 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The contact form stores crafted HTML from the primary_address_state or alt_address_state field and renders it after ineffective output sanitization. A low-privileged account can submit the payload by POST or contact import, but another user must view the saved contact; execution can expose that user's session or alter displayed content.
