Unauthenticated credential creation via registration bypass
Published Apr 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authorization bypass in Monitorr 1.7.6m allows remote attackers to create valid credentials through the _register.php installation endpoint. The registration script accepts credential-creation requests without enforcing the authorization gate required after installation. No authentication is required, so an internet-reachable instance can be taken over through newly created credentials; the record does not establish further impact.
