Unauthenticated code execution via Coherence gadget chain
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Jan 12, 2026
Deserialization in Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6.0.0, 12.1.3.0.0, 12.2.1.3.0, and 12.2.1.4.0 allows remote attackers to execute code. Crafted serialized objects reach ChainedExtractor.extract through ExtractorComparator or AbstractExtractor because the Coherence gadget chain remains permitted after an earlier filter change. Unauthenticated IIOP or T3 access is sufficient to execute code as the service account and take over the server.
