CVE-2020-28593Public exploit

Unauthenticated code execution via developer-mode toggle

Published Apr 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Hidden functionality in COSORI Smart 5.8-Quart Air Fryer CS158-AF 1.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via setup traffic. The configuration server decrypts setup JSON with a static key and accepts tcpDebugPort=on, leaving an unauthenticated developer service on TCP port 55555. Exploitation requires association with the setup Wi-Fi access point; an already registered unit must be factory-reset and re-registered before the debug channel can initiate firmware retrieval from an attacker-controlled host.
