Memory disclosure via unchecked AMF vertex indices
Published Mar 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Slic3r libslic3r 1.3.0 and master commit 92abbc42 allows attackers to disclose memory via a crafted AMF file. AMFParserContext::endElement uses attacker-controlled triangle vertex indices to index m_object_vertices before copying three floats, without checking the vector bounds. Exploitation requires an application to parse the malicious file; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of out-of-bounds process memory.
