Arbitrary command execution via unquoted filepath

OS command injection in Andrew Imm xopen 1.0.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted filepath. The exported xopen(filepath) function concatenates filepath after a platform-specific opener command and passes the unquoted string to child_process.exec. Exploitation requires a consuming Node.js application to pass attacker-controlled text into filepath; injected shell metacharacters then run with that application's privileges.
