CVE-2020-28443Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary command execution via unsanitized analysis options

Published Jul 25, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Command injection in llooiicc sonar-wrapper 0.1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via analysis options. The runAnalisys path in lib/sonarRunner.js incorporates the sonar.projectName option into the scanner command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled option values, and successful commands run with that application's host privileges.
