Prototype pollution in conf-cfg-ini before 1.2.2 allows remote attackers to alter JavaScript object prototypes via malicious INI files parsed by decode. The decode routine accepts a section named proto and copies attacker-controlled properties into the object prototype without filtering special keys. Exploitation requires an application to expose decode to attacker-supplied INI content; resulting prototype changes can affect confidentiality, integrity, or availability depending on application behavior.
