Arbitrary command execution via unescaped exec string

Command injection in Dan Heberden deferred-exec through 0.3.1 allows attackers to execute shell commands through its exec wrapper. At lib/deferred-exec.js line 42, the wrapper passes its command string to child_process.exec, which invokes a shell without neutralizing metacharacters. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled text into the command-string API; package presence alone creates no remote entry point.
