Command execution via shell-interpolated URL argument
Published Aug 2, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Command injection in curljs 0.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute shell commands through a crafted URL argument. index.js places the URL and option strings into a curl command without shell escaping, then passes the assembled string to child_process.exec. Reachability requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled input to curljs; injected commands run with that application's OS privileges.
