Admin authentication bypass via crafted username
Published Mar 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Simple College Website 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator authentication via a crafted login request. The login action in college_website/admin/ajax.php incorporates the username into an authentication query, allowing an injected always-true predicate and comment marker to override the credential check. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful exploitation grants access to the administrative panel and its content-management functions.
