Stored script execution via unsanitized article content
Published Aug 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in EyouCMS 1.4.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through the addonfieldext parameter. The article_add handler stores addonFieldExt[content] without neutralizing injected HTML event handlers before rendering the article. A victim must view the stored article, where the payload runs in that victim's browser and can alter page content or access browser-visible data.
