Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server InnoDB allows remote authenticated users to crash or hang affected servers over MySQL connections. Oracle has not disclosed the flawed InnoDB operation or the request data that triggers the failure, so the code-level mechanism is not public. Exploitation requires a highly privileged database account and network access; affected releases are 5.6.47 and earlier, 5.7.28 and earlier, and 8.0.18 and earlier, and impact is limited to a hang or repeatable crash.
