Repeated router reboots via forged reset request
Published Nov 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Genexis Platinum 4410 P4410-V2-1.28 allows remote attackers to reboot the router via a crafted form. The mag-reset.asp endpoint processes a cross-origin POST containing rebootflag and restoreFlag values without rejecting the forged reset request. A router user must be logged into the web interface and interact with attacker-supplied content, after which repeated submissions interrupt service through continuous reboots.
