Unauthenticated takeover of sandboxed client runtime
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
An undisclosed Libraries flaw in Oracle Java SE 7u251, 8u241, 11.0.6, and 14 allows remote attackers to take over the runtime. Oracle has not published the defective library operation or the untrusted input that triggers it. Exploitation requires user interaction and a client deployment that runs untrusted applet or Web Start code inside the Java sandbox; trusted-code-only servers are not affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=Java SE: 7u251, 8u241, 11.0.6, 14
