Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server 5.7.28 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or repeatedly crash the server. Oracle identifies the Server: Pluggable Auth component and MySQL protocol but has not published the malformed operation or code path that triggers the failure. A low-privileged account with network access is required, and the reported consequence is limited to service interruption.
