CVE-2020-27865

Unauthenticated code execution via protected-path substring matching

Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Authentication bypass in D-Link DAP-1860 firmware 1.04B03 and earlier allows network-adjacent attackers to execute code. uhttpd treats protected-page requests containing unauth.cgi or securityquestions.cgi as unauthenticated instead of matching only authorized paths. TCP port 80 listens by default, so no credentials or user interaction are required to execute code in the web server's device context.
