Unauthenticated code execution via unsanitized path
Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in D-Link DVA-2800 and DSL-2888A 2.30_AU allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted path parameter. The dhttpd service on TCP port 8008 passes an unsanitized path value into a system call through libstarter.so. Authentication is not required, but the service is reachable from an adjacent network; successful exploitation runs code in the web server context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
