Privileged-browser script execution via stored survey input
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Rocketgenius Gravity Forms before 2.4.21 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through Survey textareas. The Survey feature stores textarea content without neutralizing executable HTML or script before rendering it in a privileged user's view. Submission access and later viewing by an Administrator, Editor, or comparable privileged user are required; the script executes in that user's browser context.
