Low-privileged remote denial of service
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
MySQL Server 5.6.47 and earlier, 5.7.29 and earlier, and 8.0.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cause denial of service. The defect resides in the Server DML component, but Oracle has not publicly disclosed the specific operation on untrusted input that causes the failure. A low-privileged account with network access is required; exploitation can hang the server or trigger repeatable crashes without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
