CVE-2020-27794Public exploit

Memory corruption and crash via stale table-query pointer

Published Aug 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Double free in cmd_info in radareorg radare2 before 4.4.0 allows local users to corrupt memory or crash the process via command input. cmd_info frees core->table_query, r_core_fini frees the same pointer without nulling it, and a later in command frees it again. Triggering the flaw requires the documented in, oc, and in command sequence in a radare2 session; the demonstrated consequence is process termination, while the CNA also reports unexpected memory modification.
