Sandboxed script execution via injected help-page IFRAME
Published Jan 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Wing FTP Server 6.4.4 allows remote attackers to run sandboxed HTML and JavaScript via a crafted help link. The help manual pages accept an arbitrary IFRAME element supplied by the link and render it without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted link, and execution remains sandboxed within that user's browser.
