Service interruption via uncaught deserialization exception

Uncaught exception handling in Oracle Java SE 7u251, 8u241, 11.0.6, and 14 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. ObjectStreamClass.invokeWriteObject() fails to catch an InstantiationError raised while deserializing an untrusted object stream, allowing the exception to escape. The affected serialization API must process attacker-supplied data, including through a web service or sandboxed Java application, and the reported impact is a partial service interruption.
