Unauthenticated service restart via undersized discovery packet
Published Jan 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Denial of service in Rostelecom CS-C2SHW 5.0.082.1 allows remote attackers to restart AgentGreen via a crafted UDP discovery packet. AgentGreen treats an undersized broadcast discovery datagram's length as a negative buffer allocation size instead of rejecting the malformed packet. No authentication or user interaction is required on a reachable UDP discovery interface, and exploitation terminates the service until its later automatic restart.
