Privilege escalation in Akkadian Provisioning Manager 4.50.02 allows remote authenticated users to obtain a root shell through SSH. The restricted SSH console launches Vim as root for web-configuration editing, and Vim accepts the :! shell-command escape. Access to the low-privilege SSH account is required; escaping the editor permits arbitrary commands with root privileges.
