Stored XSS via unsanitized User-Agent
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Debug Meta Data 1.1.2 for WordPress allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary scripts via a crafted User-Agent header. The plugin stores the User-Agent value from a login request without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, then renders it on profile.php. An attacker needs an account and a victim to visit the profile page; script execution can impersonate the victim and steal credentials.
