Improper privilege management in Siemens industrial products with InsydeH2O 5.x allows local users to corrupt firmware or OS memory. Affected SMM drivers use caller-controlled CommBuffer and CommBufferSize values without sufficient validation when servicing firmware requests. Local administrative access is required, and successful abuse can disclose privileged information or cross into System Management Mode.
