Database read and modification via missing authentication
Published Jan 6, 2021 · Updated Jun 2, 2026
Missing authentication in Red Lion Controls Crimson 3.1 before build 3119.001 allows remote attackers to read and modify its database. The default configuration exposes database operations without authentication; Red Lion has not published the affected service, protocol, or request path. Network reachability to a DA10D Protocol Converter using the default configuration is sufficient, and the reported consequence is limited to database confidentiality and integrity.
