Key disclosure and pump spoofing via unauthenticated exchange
Published Jan 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication failure in SOOIL Dana Diabecare RS and AnyDana apps before 3.0 allows physically proximate attackers to steal BLE keys. The protocol exchanges keys before adequately authenticating the pump, exposing key material and allowing a counterfeit pump to impersonate it. Exploitation requires BLE proximity and victim interaction; the documented effects are key disclosure and pump spoofing, not service interruption.
