CVE-2020-27266

Authentication bypass via client-enforced BLE access checks

Published Jan 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Authentication bypass in SOOIL Dana Diabecare RS, AnyDana-i, and AnyDana-A before 3.0 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass checks via BLE. The pump accepts BLE requests without independently authenticating them because the paired mobile application, rather than the pump, enforces the user check. The attacker must be within BLE radio range and use a modified client, and the reported consequence is unauthorized access to protected pump information.
