Authenticated SQL injection via assetStatus query concatenation
Published Apr 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in OpenClinic GA 5.173.3 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through a crafted assetStatus parameter. The getAssets.jsp handler copies assetStatus into Asset.comment9, and Asset.getList concatenates it unescaped into an OC_ASSET_COMMENT9 SQL predicate. Access requires an authenticated web session, and injection is bounded by the data privileges of the application's database account.
