Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped asset description
Published Apr 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in OpenClinic GA 5.173.3 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through a crafted request. getAssets.jsp copies the description parameter into an Asset object, and Asset.getList concatenates it into a SQL LIKE clause without parameter binding. A valid application session is required; successful injection permits limited database reads and writes, with no documented service interruption.
