Authenticated database access via concatenated district filter
Published May 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in OpenClinic GA 5.173.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the findDistrict parameter. The patientslist.do flow passes findDistrict to AdminPerson.getAllPatients, which concatenates it inside a quoted district condition instead of binding it as data. Exploitation requires a valid session and permits database reads or changes within the application account's access, with no reported service interruption.
