Password prediction via time-seeded pseudorandom generation

Weak password generation in Kaspersky Password Manager allows attackers to predict passwords created by affected Windows, Android, and iOS releases. The generator seeds a noncryptographic Mersenne Twister with the current system time in seconds, reducing each character-policy search space to one candidate per second. Attackers need to know that a password came from the product and its approximate generation time; the published proof of concept recovers Windows-generated passwords by testing the resulting candidate set.
